The Big Gundown, a.k.a. La resa dei conti, is not as well-known as some of Morricone's other work, but it is one of his finest western scores. The main theme is triumphant and grand, and provides the basis for the amazing opening song. The rest of the album is quite diverse, including very creative use of solo female vocals and "Für Elise". This is truly one of the most enjoyable Spaghetti Western scores ever written.
